Today I worked with Johan figuring out how to properly import his model into Unity. We thought it was a simple process and had so far waited to test it but when actually trying out we encountered monstrous problems like this.

Headless Iterations

I’ve been wanting to show how far I have gotten on the character.

She have gone through some iterations since the beginning. The ones below are only the ones which has gone through major changes, though early on we decided to make her into a horse, reindeer hybrid. This is because we found it more interesting and it makes sense in the context in the game.

Headless Iterations

The Character

Since Fredrik is the one responsible for programming the movement system, I am the one who will work with the visuals! Since the character is a centaur the whole process will be quite challenging to me since I have never made this kind of character before.

Fortunately before the course began I had already started modelling the character so I will not start from scratch. Right now its just a base and is missing parts like hair, clothes and so on and has yet to be UV mapped. Other parts like rigging and animation will come soon after. I will probably have to rig the character prematurely to make sure how many bones I need and so Fredrik have something to work with.

I will probably show come pictures of the process and how much has been finished model tomorrow so stay tuned to that!
